so far my quest for a good job is not successful. applied through job serve and other job boards, appeared in a couple of interviews as well but no success! one of them was in glasgow, where the post was of a graduate developer and for power pc / embedded environment. the reason i was not selected i think is my lack of experience for this sort of job.
the other one was a phone interview where the interviewer asked me of some "general" questions, though i am not sure whether the answers were getting to her or not. In the end she was merely trying to gauge my "depth". The only meaningful question was to state one of the characteristic of extreme programming. even though i did study it in past, i couldnt answer. the interesting thing was the job precondition which states you will be sent to india for a technical training. does that make sense that u will be trained in india in some sort "programming techniques" and then brought back to UK to do the work??
i am becoming increasingly frustrated. i am all up and ready and with a solid background i believe. but there is simply none to value it. what should i do ? and how i am going to approach it?

developer jobs

well more and more developer jobs are getting transferred to india.
the advantage is ofcourse less pay for the programmers. it is an industry where u dont really need an infrastructure. a team of developers crammed in a room, separated by their functions, directed by a specifc plan and a leader..... and probably working in pairs.
besides when u r working infront of computers all the time what is the need for whats going on outside? thus an AC room with a good lunch and refreshments should be enough. Think about it, when you are in a job... lets assume u r working 5 days a week... 8 hours a day, take out 2 hours for transportation, 8 hours for sleep and then u will have just about 6 hours where u got to prepeare meals and eat etc. so it is just the week end when u can go out and enjoy. when u r in europe /america u r probably going out to a nice place, when u r in india u have other things to do like going out in a cinema or eating out etc. but in the end there isnt much difference is it?
so from a developer perspectve it doesnt really mater where u r working, the important thing is what u r doing ?

what is java?
there is something more to it than terminal independence.
separation of detail, separation of functionality and bingo ....... you have something which can work superbly.
interfaces and what not?

technical mind, well need of the age

but then what should be a technical mind?
to me , its getting into the detail, loving the work and thats it........ you are in it.
but the secret is you got to love your work. but who does love the work? enjoy interest loving everything you do .
